On 12 May 2026, the Ordinary Congress of the Kyrgyz Football Union was held in Bishkek, at which a new KFU President was elected. Adylbek Aleshovich Kasymaliev was chosen for the role.
The vote was conducted in accordance with the KFU Statutes. Kasymaliev was the sole candidate — following an open vote, he was elected unanimously. The new President's term has been set until 2030.
At the same Congress, vacant seats on the KFU Executive Committee were also filled. Akylbek Mamatov and Jokhan Yeralkhanov became its new members.
APFKR congratulates Adylbek Aleshovich on his election and looks forward to continued productive cooperation with the KFU in the interests of Kyrgyzstan's professional footballers.
